Seriously...this may be my sweetest post to date.
Josh was one of my husband's groomsmen in our wedding 5 years ago. Josh contacted me days before he was going to propose to Lindsey and asked if I could photograph it. He was in Charleston filming his last days on the set of the tv show he had a spot on and arranged all of this from there! He got very little sleep the night before as they were wrapping his final scenes. He woke up early to head back to Wilmington to put the final touches on everything.
He went to Airlie early that morning to pay the photography fee and scope the place out for a good location. He picked up the ring that morning. He stopped at the florist. We planned to meet at 11:45, so he did all of this with very little sleep and very little time after traveling back from Charleston! Lindsey had absolutely no idea, which is the best part.
So, he let me know where to be. I arrived to Airlie Gardens early, so that I could see the spot myself and figure out the best hiding place. I got into position and awaited their arrival. The rest was pure brilliance...it was so perfect. I was giddy with excitement for Lindsey, because seriously....one of the best proposals ever.
Oh, and??? It was Lindsey's birthday! Talk about a day to remember. She had no idea the proposal was being photographed. I don't think she realized I was there until some people walked past the entire thing and asked "is this happening in real life?" At that point, she became a bit more aware of her surroundings!!
